Abgrall Claims Top Spot at Callaway PGA of Manitoba Championship
Colwyn Abgrall fired rounds of 66, 69 for a nine under par total of 135 to claim the top spot and earn his first PGA victory at the 2023 Callaway PGA of Manitoba Championship. The GOLFTEC Apprentice Professional made a total of 13 birdies over the two days at the Niakwa Country Club giving him a 5 stroke margin over his nearest competitors.
Carman Golf & Curling Club's Dean North and Niakwa Country Club Head Professional, Terry Reilly finished in a tie for second at 4 under par. Dave McMillan, the Executive Professional from Elmhurst Golf & Country Club rounded out the top four after a second round 69 put him under par for the tournament and moved him up the leader board.
The 41 player field was the largest the event has seen in recent years and a strong testament to the dedication of our Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario members.
The PGA of Manitoba would like to thank our title sponsor, Callaway Golf for their ongoing dedication and support. We also extend our thanks to the management, staff and membership at the Niakwa Country Club for playing host to our premier event of the season.
