Goodwin Takes First Round Lead

After the first round of play at the Sigurdson Financial Fall & Assistants’ Championship at the Carman Golf & Curling Club, Glendale’s Derrik Goodwin leads the field in the Fall Championship division after a first round 67.  One stroke back from Goodwin is Ryan McMillan of Elmhurst and Colwyn Abgrall of GOLFTEC.  Jeremy Gallant (St. Charles) & Walt Keating (Whitewater) round out the top five after both shot 1 under par 70’s.

In the Assistants’ Championship division, McMillan and Abgrall lead the field as they each opted to play in both divisions. Gallant and Keating sit tied for third while Jonathan Wiegner rounds out the top five after an opening 71.

The 32 player field will hit the course at 8:00 am tomorrow with play wrapping up mid afternoon.
