Ryan Sommerfeld

I started my career at Niakwa Country Club before moving on to St. Charles Country Club, both in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Four years later and less than a year after I got married, I moved to Vancouver and began working at Shaughnessy G & CC. After nearly 5 awesome years I moved on from Shaughnessy to take the Titleist Sales Rep job for Vancouver and the Island.

A couple years later I found myself in the same position but on the other side of the country, in the Greater Toronto Area. After my second daughter arrived, I knew something had to give. I need a better work-life balance. It needed to be life, then work. I resigned from Acushnet and began my own distribution company and opened up a teaching academy. The realization that I could teach anywhere and distribute anywhere, allowed me and my family to move back to Winnipeg where most of our extended family was living.

Today, I still have the distribution company, and manage a territory for Cobra/Puma. Along the way I have met so many good people in this industry. My mentors have been some of the best names in the business and I'm where I am today because of their help along the way. Guiding my journey is a simple motto, be kind, and always take the high road.
